Spiritual Awakening at SIU-Edwardsville

What do you call it when students are heeding the conviction of the Holy Spirit to erase images and music from their electronic devices?

What do you call it when students go out on dates and receive multiple text messages during the date reminding him to "Keep it pure!"?

What do you call it when new believers are coming to faith every week and taking their first steps of growth immediately?

I don't know what the missiologists would call it, but it sure looks like revival to me!

Holly and I joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ because we wanted to be a part of making disciples who could impact their families, communities and the world. Colleges and universities gather future leaders together during a crossroad time of their lives. Students are transitioning from adolescence into adulthood. They are establishing their framework for decision-making in the future.

We want to teach, encourage and exhort them to live in light of the gospel--this message of grace that they can only find life in Jesus.

What is happening in the metro east stands as a classic example of what we pray for every day!
