I must confess that buying the car kit for the Awana Grand Prix struck fear in my heart. I still remember finishing LAST when I was a Cub Scout at the Pine Wood Derby. So, fortunately for Grant, Holly was the supervising engineer.
When the big day came, Grant had a cool-looking car with Indiana Jones as the driver. His car won a couple of the heats. He didn't finish in the top 3 due to some outstanding competition.
