One of my favorite times during the summer project comes during the men's overnight. This year's trip proved a little different than year's past. Due to a State Department travel advisory for the area of Mexico where we typically camp for the overnight, we were thankful to find a Christian camp about 50 miles away that served as a super substitute location.
It is easy to say that the men's time is great--I love the time hanging out, the extra sessions, getting away together, the ceremony calling men to make commitments, the camping and the cookout. We really do have a great time together!
The feedback from the time has been very encouraging as men are more intentionally pursuing the Lord and initiating gospel conversations with others.
