You won't believe this...in the midst of our Chamber of Commerce weather and after nine summers in San Diego with only one day with a 30 minute rain (not mist, but real rain!), we experienced our first rainy day! Yes, a day where it rained off and on just like we would expect in the Midwest with real drops and accumulation!
We thought that you would enjoy this spectacular rainbow at the end of the rain. The picture doesn't quite show it, but it was actually a double rainbow.
I thought that the National Center for Atmospheric Research had some interesting comments about why the inside of a rainbow is lighter than the outside and about the double rainbow.
