It is fun to pass along some of the stories directly from the students. We have sharing times almost daily to tell stories of God's Kingdom coming in our lives and advancing to others. Kelsey Downs is a student at North Carolina State University. Here is a story that she wrote:
"I was able to take an opportunity to talk with a girl named Shannon on the beach. Liz and I approached Shannon and asked her if she would be willing to do a short survey about spiritual things. I was taken back by God's intricate plan in life as she told us how she was just thinking about God when we came up to talk to her. We quickly found out that Shannon was more than curious about hearing about who Jesus was. We listened as she told us how she was going through a difficult time in her life. We were are to share with her the hope that we have in Jesus Christ. It was very exciting to also her her explain to us that her father had recently become a Christian through a rehab center. He had just been telling her about how he started reading the Bible. We were able to share with Shannon how she could know God personally and she was very excited to pray and place her faith in Jesus."
