Serving in Cooperation with the Luis Palau Festival

On Saturday, we rode the bus to partner with Encanto Baptist Church for an afternoon of outreach and service. Many students played the humble role of picking up trash in the neighborhood. Other students went door to door taking community need surveys and sharing the gospel.

Here is how Ginger and Trevor explained their afternoon. "We played football with a few boys on the street and one took us to his house to talk with his family. We went through a survey with his older brother that asked how he felt about the community and how he felt about God. He explained that he used to go to church, but he didn't have time now because he was working to support his pregnant girlfriend. We asked him if he had other children, and he said that he had a little girl, but she had been aborted by her mother. We ended up going through the gospel with him and asked him if he wanted to receive Christ. He said that he did and read through the prayer. We left him with a copy of More Than a Carpenter<\u> and the New Testament and trust that God will follow him up!"
