The cross on top of Mt. Soledad, one of San Diego's most picturesque locations as it overlooks both the city of San Diego and the Pacific Ocean, has been the subject of great controversy in recent years. Some argue that the cross doesn't belong in this location, but it seems like a perfect place to me for the cross!
We took the staff team to Mt. Soledad for a time of prayer, reflection and vision last week. Our theme verse came from Jonah 4:11, "And should not I pity Ninevah, that great city, in which there are 120,000 persons...?"
I'll save my thoughts about the importance of reaching cities for another entry, but it was a wonderful night of prayer.
