We have labeled this week, "Killing the Giants Week." Staff and students have prayerfully sought the Lord for "giants" in their lives and have taken steps of faith to practically trust God in these areas.
As a one result, we have shared our faith a great deal recently. Here are a couple pictures from the beach--including a good one of Holly. We have been in a time where it seems that the Lord is adding to our numbers daily those who are being saved. Here is a mix of a variety of stories:
* JB met a neighbor who asked if JB would come over to invite him next time we have Bible study because he and his girlfriend would like to join us.
* We joined the churches where we are attending for neighborhood outreaches (lots of literature distribution) to assist them in their witness.
* Brittany and Jon met a woman sitting on the patio of her vacation rental. As she was answering the survey questions, she became curious how her friend would answer, so she went and got her friend. Then, they were curious how a child would answer, so they brought out Jaden. The conversation shifted back to the adults, but Jaden took the "Knowing God Personally" booklet and read it for herself. Not too long after that, Brittany and Jon heard Jaden praying out loud the prayer of faith that we invite people to pray as an expression of faith.
* A couple of quotes that stood out to me:
--"I am so stingy with the gospel."
--"My neighbors back home are watering my dying tree. The least I can do for them is offer them the water of life!"
