We host a weekly event for project students, area students, and others from the community that we meet call "Friday Night Live." At this meeting, students will share testimonies of how God is at work in their lives, Dan will teach through a portion of Hebrews, and we will sing.
Here are some quick, fun FNL stories:
* The top picture is of a student named Jordan, on left, who came to faith in Christ two weeks ago and shared his testimony last night. He is standing with one of our staff members named Beau who had the privilege of sharing the good news with him that day.
* We met Mike (guy with long hair giving some kind of hand signal that I don't understand in the second picture) a couple of years ago and have developed a good relationship with him. He still doesn't have a permanent location to live and isn't looking. He did go out with the men this past week to participate in our outreach. Yes, he paired up with one of the guys to go witnessing. Mike also brought his brother, Guy, to FNL last night. Guy who is also without a permanent home, was "moved to tears" at the meeting last night and dropped some money in our prayer request box.
* Students are coming from our outreaches on campus and in the neighborhood. One of our neighbors who came to the meeting last night pulled me aside to tell me how helpful the message and music were for him. I don't think that he is a believer yet, so we are praying for him as well as the others who joined us.
* We hosted a group from Invisible Children to show a movie and mobilize students for needs in Africa last night. They were a great blessing to move our hearts to care for "the least of these" in our world.
