Quick Construction Update 11/18/2007

Well, when you have a house addition going on and you have just had neck surgery, you need a lot of good friends to help out in order to continue making progress. We have some great friends. We now have the plywood down on the floor joists and will be ready to build second floor walls this coming week.
Here are the picture descriptions:
1. Putting up the steel beam--I was dreading this job because that beam is SO HEAVY! But, my Uncle Steve says, "Many hands make for light work." We had many hands on that beam and it went right up.
2. A picture of the house before the floor joists went up.
3. Kenny setting the joists.
4. Byron making the most of his opportunity to wear his hard hat!
5. Bryan working the saw.
6. The floor joists up, but the picture was taken before the plywood went down.
We thought you might enjoy the quick look!

You are absolutely crazy. Your old real estate agent continues to humbly advise against all remodeling projects because he thinks it's always easier to build new and move than to remodel. BUT he is confident that your equity is soaring through the stratosphere by now. Praise God for all the appreciation since 1996! May your home continue to be a place of rest for your family and a tool for equipping and encouraging others to bring the gospel of Jesus to the world! Scott
