Cross-Training in Arkansas

As best we can sort out, the Campus Crusade for Christ ministry in the state of Missouri began in the last 1960's when some students from University of Arkansas traveled to Mizzou and Wash U. Holly and I remain grateful for their sacrifice and faith because, nearly 20 years later, when we arrived at Mizzou, we were welcomed by a group of students desiring to influence the campus for Christ.

It was a great privilege to spend last week in the state of Arkansas where we spent time collaborating on reaching every student on every campus in the states of Missouri and Arkansas. I came away with a renewed vision and full of fresh ideas.

The picture here is of Doug and Becca Philips (pictured her in front of Bob's Grill, a diner in Conway, AR that Holly would have enjoyed!) who are leading a new team (second year) in central Arkansas. Being with them reminded me of all the challenges that we faced when we started in St. Louis. I was so encouraged by their faith and endurance as they trust God to give every college student in AR an opportunity to say 'yes' to Jesus.

The team in Fayetteville is absolutely rocking! They are seeing God bear abundant fruit on campus there. It was such a blessing to be with them.
