Every year hundreds of students, new graduates and mid-career adults apply to serve with Cru for 1-2 years all over the world. Living internationally is challenging, even in a very westernized country. Working on a team is challenging. Walking closely with the Lord can be challenging for any of us. Cru hosts mid-year conferences which serve as a time of refreshment, as well as a checkpoint for these international teams. I was invited to attend the conference in Spain, which hosted missionaries from Europe, Africa and Asia—more than 20 countries. I met with the team that Dan and I coach which works with the ministries in North Africa and the Middle East. I was so encouraged by the faith of this team, as well as others at the conference.
